The leather-free interior incorporates recycled and renewable materials such as New Zealand wool, and denim upholstery created from the waste fibres of the denim recycling process.

The cabin features a minimalist dashboard with a 12.3-inch tablet screen in the centre, Google built-in apps and services, wireless Apple CarPlay, and with over-the-air (OTA) updates provided.

Five exterior colour options include an Onyx Black metallic roof matching high gloss black exterior details, a new Moss Yellow, Cloud Blue, Vapour Grey, and Crystal White.

Volvo’s ‘Thor’s Hammer’ signature headlight has been updated in EX30 with the addition of a segmented design, extra width, and a narrower look. The rear lamp design has also been updated, with two sections in flush with the car body, which helps make the car conspicuous in all light conditions.

A large fixed panoramic glass roof is included, and a Soundbar speaker is standard – the audio unit covering the full width of the dashboard.

Volvo EX30 seats’ ergonomic design comfortably supports the body from the shoulders to the thighs and include integrated front seats head rests while allowing increased rear legroom.

A cabin filter comes standard, and a two-zone climate system is available.

Cabin air can be monitored via the Volvo EX30 app and can be even cleaned before entering.

Smart interior storage is provided.

EX30 access comes with digital key functionality which uses near field communication (NFC) technology via a smartphone.

“The Volvo EX30 will arrive in New Zealand from April 2024 and it really is an espresso version of everything Volvo,” says Volvo Cars New Zealand general manager Ben Montgomery.
