The ABT eTransporter 6.1 delivers a maximum power output of 83kW, and it can reach nearly 100km/h in 17.4 seconds.

Regenerative braking is available and the VW features a modified dual clutch transmission DSG, combining the conventional system with the requirements of an electric drive.

The ABT eTransporter 6.1 is equipped as standard with a DAB+ radio system with 6.5-inch touchscreen and four loudspeakers, SD card slot, Bluetooth, handsfree and two USB interfaces (type-C) in the dashboard.

Volkswagen AppConnect allows smartphone apps onto the infotainment system’s touchscreen, a standard feature alongside a comprehensive suite of driver assistance systems, including Front Assist with City Emergency Braking System, rear parking sensors and Crosswind Assist.

Advance trim – including 17-inch alloy wheels, electric door mirrors, LED headlights, rain sensing wipers, front and rear parking sensors and more – is available from 45,360 pounds, and the kombi crew van and kombi crew van Advance are priced from 46,375 pounds and 49,985 pounds respectively.

Its zero-emission status exempts all variants from UK road tax (VED) and allows unrestricted access to the London Ultra Low Emission Zone and Clean Air Zones.
