World’s first global EV travel guide released

Mr-and-Mrs-T-on-tour

A global EV travel guide ‘#recharge’ has been produced by Tesla travellers Ralf Schwesinger and Nicole Wanner who featured in EVs and Beyond last year on their “Mr and Mrs T on Tour” sojourn.

The couple spent about 20 months in nine Teslas – including their own Model S – while travelling through 14 countries in Europe, along with New Zealand, Australia, Canada and the US.

They returned to Switzerland at the end of 2019 but the COVID-19 pandemic prevented their book’s earlier release – but now it’s finally available in time for Christmas in English or German.

Both say the pandemic restrictions have led to more sustainable behaviour and they can look back on two unforgettable years.

“What started with the purchase of a Model S turned out to be as exciting for us as the share price of Tesla.

“Admittedly, if we had invested our money in Tesla shares, we would now be richer financially, but not in priceless experience.”

They experienced “incredibly enriching encounters with many Tesla and sustainability fans”.

“The support from so many Tesla clubs and the exchange with the club presidents, which culminated in the summit in Los Angeles at the Tesla headquarters, will remain unforgettable.

“Coincidentally, we were also able to see a Space X rocket launch in Florida, pay a visit to NASA and attend the unveiling of the Cybertruck with the great Tesla community.

“A handshake with (Tesla senior design executive) Franz von Holzhausen just had to happen on top, given it was him who at an earlier occasion caused that we lost our hearts to Tesla.”

Fantastic routes, many of the most beautiful hotels in Europe and lots of useful information on e-mobility are included in the illustrated travel guide, they say.

A code TRAVEL-HOME-FOR-X-MAS provides a 10% friendship discount on orders.

A partnership with MyClimate guarantees book production is CO2-neutralised, as is its shipping.
