XPeng X9 priced from $104,990 as first customer deliveries begin
XPeng has confirmed New Zealand pricing for its flagship X9 electric people mover, with the first customer deliveries getting under way this week.
The seven-seat electric MPV is available in two variants, with the front-wheel drive Standard Range priced from $104,990 and the all-wheel drive Long Range from $124,990.
XPeng New Zealand says demonstrator vehicles are already at dealerships, with 20 vehicles having arrived in the country.
“We have got cars on the ground, both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive, 20 cars on the ground, deliveries starting this week,” an XPeng NZ spokesperson says.
The Standard Range is powered by a single front-mounted electric motor producing 235kW and 450Nm, paired with a 94.8kWh LFP battery. It has a claimed WLTP driving range of 535km, a 0-100km/h time of 8.2 seconds and energy consumption of 20.2kWh/100km.
The Long Range adds a dual-motor all-wheel drive system producing 370kW and 640Nm, reducing the 0-100km/h sprint to 5.9 seconds. A larger 110kWh NCM battery increases the WLTP range to 580km, with claimed energy consumption of 20.8kWh/100km.

Standard equipment across the range includes seven seats, dual-chamber air suspension, a Snapdragon 8295-powered infotainment system, a 27-speaker audio system and XPeng’s XPILOT driver assistance suite featuring automated parking and remote summon functions.
Arctic White is the standard exterior colour, while five premium paint finishes are available for an additional $1,800. Buyers can choose from three Nappa leather interior themes at no extra cost, while an electric towbar is a $2,400 option. Both models are rated to tow 750kg unbraked and 1,500kg braked.
At just over five metres long, the X9 enters the premium electric people mover segment, where it undercuts its closest rival, the Zeekr 009, by around $45,000 at the entry level.
The X9 is the second model in XPeng’s New Zealand line-up, joining the G6 SUV. The company has also confirmed the L03 will arrive in New Zealand in the fourth quarter of 2026.
