Z price rise on some EV chargers
Z Energy (Z) increases prices on its fast and ultra-fast chargers to 79 cents a kWh from July 1 this year.
It’s updating prices to “better reflect the cost of delivering our growing fast charging network”.
Z says that for the past two years it has grown its EV charging network, opening 43 EV charging sites with 124 charging bays.
“We are maintaining our simple flat rate per kWh rate with no time of day or different rates based on the speed of the charger,” Z says.
Detailing prices from July 1, Z says the $2.03 difference for the average charge (based on an average charge session of 20.3kW. Data from 1.1.2024 – 30.4.2024.) is derived from the current 69c per kWh price to the new one of 79c per kWh.
