Renault adding electric and hydrogen vans
\By the end of this year, Renault will be marketing two new zero-emissions vans globally, one electric the other hydrogen-fuelled.
The new Kangoo Van E-TECH Electric city van has a 44kWh battery offering 265km of range.
The hydrogen van is at the other end of the size scale, the Master Hydrogen.
Renault is aiming to capture 30% of the European market for hydrogen light commercial vehicles by 2030, providing charging solutions for electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle fleets.
The two vans are part of a Renault review and expansion of its light commercial vehicle range.
The additions include all-new Kangoo and Express small vans, and a new Trafic Combi MPV and its VIP transport-oriented version, the SpaceClass.
Renault says the Express has the largest side access in its class as well as plenty of storage, and removing the B-pillar on the kerb side of the Kangoo has also given that van a wide-opening load doorway.
A revamped Trafic cargo van will arrive at the end of the year
