Tesla Model 3 for UK emergency services trial

Tesla UK has revealed a police liveried Model 3 saloon which it says will be available to emergency services across the United Kingdom for trial and assessment.

Many are trialling more EVs ahead of the UK Government’s move to having all new car sales fully electric by 2030, Auto Express reports.

Tesla hasn’t given details for the Model 3 emergency service trial car but has similar projects in the US.

Gloucester Constabulary added 75 EVs (mainly Nissan Leafs) to its fleet in early 2020, while the Metropolitan Police have BMW i3s patrolling London and also have 11 hydrogen fuel-cell Toyota Mirais.
