Jaguar TCS Racing ready for Formula E season eight start
Kiwi driver Mitch Evans is set for his sixth season of ABB FIA Formula E racing with the Jaguar TCS Racing team and is again aiming for a podium finish in the Formula E season eight start in Saudi Arabia on January 28 and 29.
The Diriyah race weekend is the second night race double header in ABB FIA Formula E history.
Evans and fellow driver Sam Bird start the season focussed on podiums, wins and the World Championship, achieving a win and podium last time in Saudi Arabia on the 2.49km track.
“Last season we showed as a team exactly what we are capable of, and we are ready to do that again this year,” Evans says.

Jaguar TCS Racing team principal James Barclay says there is great excitement to be starting season eight of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.
“After such a competitive season seven, we have been working hard as a team to put ourselves in a strong position this season and we can’t wait to finally go racing in our Jaguar I-Type 5 and start the fight for the World Championship.
“With a new qualifying format there are undoubtedly things we are going to learn this weekend, but we are looking forward to the lights going green once again.”
