Kiwi Jaguar TCS Racing driver Mitch Evans is ready for the first Greenko Hyderabad E-Prix on February 11, competing in the new Jaguar I-Type 6 race car.

Debuting in the Indian city, Hyderabad is the first of four new race locations for the 2023 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship and a key “home” race for the team being part of the Tata Group and TCS being the team’s title partner.

The race comprises 32 laps of a 2.83km street circuit, positioned on the banks of the heart-shaped Hussain Sagar Lake.

The team enters round four in fifth position in the teams’ standings after a podium, points and fastest lap in the Diriyah double-header.

“I’m always excited by the prospect of a new track, and Hyderabad is no exception,” says Evans. “While new surfaces and new climates are always a challenge for us, we’ve had lots of success in the past when we’ve raced at new tracks.

“Last year was the first time I’d raced in Jakarta and Seoul, and I won both races, so if we could replicate our winning streak at Hyderabad this weekend, then we can secure some solid points on the table.”

AERO, which provides livery material with aesthetic value, high performance and near zero environmental impact, has meanwhile been welcomed by Jaguar TCS Racing as a new official supplier partner.
