GM US EV sales grow 32% to more than 20K units Q3 2023
General Motors (GM) EV sales in the US increased 32% to 20,057 units during the third quarter of 2023.
Its EV sales there included the Chevrolet (Chevy) Bolt EV, Chevy Bolt EUV, Chevy Blazer EV, Chevy Silverado EV, GMC Hummer EV pickup (ute), GMC Hummer EV SUV and the Cadillac Lyriq
GM has launched a new business “BrightDrop” that builds the BrightDrop Zevo 400 and Zevo 600 commercial delivery vans, although sales aren’t included in this study, GM Authority reports.
Overall, GM EV sales grew 146% to 56,081 deliveries during the first three quarters of 2023, it adds.
“Industrywide, the U.S. saw record EV sales during Q3 2023, topping 300K units to represent 7.9% of all vehicle purchases during Q3 2023 compared to 6.1% in Q3 2022.
“As the EV space continues to heat up across all segments, GM is still planning to offer a fully electric vehicle lineup by 2035.”
