Apple drops autonomous EV

Apple has cancelled plans for its proposed autonomous vehicle (AV).

Bloomberg reports that Apple is ditching its driver-less electric car multi-billion idea after a decade.

EVs and Beyond said in 2021 that Apple inc was picking up the pace on “Project Titan”, as its AV was known, but it now seems dead.

Apple reportedly told its employees about the change of tack this week, some staff working on Project Titan apparently moving to Apple’s generative artificial intelligence team instead.
