Driverless future forecast

“The Road to a Driverless Future” is the subject of an autonomous vehicles whitepaper launched by Drive Electric on October 31.
About 50 people are expected at the event at Westpac on Takutai Square, Britomart, Auckland, from 4pm to 6.30pm.
It’s Drive Electric’s third whitepaper, this one written by freelance writer Matt Philp in consultation with experts from professional services provider Arup, Audi, Volvo, BMW, Tesla, the NZ Automobile Association and the Ministry of Transport.
Those interested are welcome to hear how autonomous vehicles (AVs) will change New Zealanders’ lives.
The paper explores the legal, economic and social impacts such technology brings and how any challenges can be overcome.
A short presentation will be led by Dean Sheed of Audi and Phil Carter of Arup, with questions and discussion invited.
The paper will be provided to those attending.
