SAE-J1772-Type-1-US-JP-EV-charging-plug-male-connector-with-6-meters-32A-cableThe national Motor Vehicle Register has been updated to reflect the range of new drivetrains now in vehicles being sold in New Zealand.

The addition of electric and a range of hybrid options take the list of engines that a car can be registered under from six to 16.

The new definitions will become active on July 1.
