Evans won the 2020 Mexico City E-Prix – the last time Jaguar Racing was there – and the next event follows a mixed weekend in Diriyah for the team which aims to capitalise on the new Jaguar I-Type 5’s speed.

Fellow Jaguar TCS Racing driver Sam Bird has also had past success with a podium and valuable points on multiple occasions in Mexico.

It will be the sixth time the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship takes to the streets of Mexico City, using part of the main city centre Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez circuit.

“The Hermanos Rodriguez circuit has some unique demands, but it is one that we have performed well at during previous seasons,” Jaguar TCS Racing team principal James Barclay says.

Evans says lifting the trophy in Mexico City is a feeling he’d love to replicate this weekend.
