Four electric bikes, three Segways and three operating electric trams were also involved.

So they’re gearing up for a new New Zealand EV record on April 15 in Whangarei at the Hatea Drive car park, 10.30am.

Everyone is welcome, even if they’re just curious about EVs.

Another chance to check out EVs comes with The Better NZ Trust’s Leading the Charge EV tour, starting near the bottom of the South Island on April 19 and ending at the top of the North Island on May 9.
