Record EV attempt

Northland wants to beat Auckland – at least for the amount of electric vehicles (EVs) in one place.

The Auckland record is 59, set last September at Auckland’s Museum of Transport and Technology in Western Springs.

Four electric bikes, three Segways and three operating electric trams were also involved.

Northland EV owners believe they can better that.

So they’re gearing up for a new New Zealand EV record on April 15 in Whangarei at the Hatea Drive car park, 10.30am.

Everyone is welcome, even if they’re just curious about EVs.
