VW e-Golfs available mid-November

Volkswagen e-Golfs are coming to New Zealand shortly.

A limited supply is expected to be available from dealers in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch from mid-November, Volkswagen New Zealand says.

The price is around $61,990, plus on-road costs.

Testing by the AA – with two people driving from Auckland to Tokoroa – achieved a 220km range.

Equipment highlights include keyless entry and starting, a 12.3-inch digital instrument display, LED head and tail lights, adaptive cruise control, lane and side assist, Discover Pro 9.2-inch infotainment system and App-Connect.

Due to unprecedented global demand, supply from the factory for retail sales in 2017 will be very limited, so those who have registered their interest will be offered priority, Volkswagen New Zealand passenger vehicles head Scott Kelsey says.

Test drives are available for those booking online through three Auckland dealerships from October 4-10. A dealer will contact those who have registered.
