Tesla updates Model S and X

Tesla has launched one its biggest updates to the Model S and Model X.
The ground-up rethink to its flagship vehicles introduces an all-new interior, two new powertrains, more performance, technology and refined styling.
Tesla will be producing the Model S Plaid Plus, which will include an even more capable, track-focused powertrain, among other changes.

The former “Plaid” variant announced on September 22, 2020, is now listed as “Plaid Plus” on Tesla’s online Design Studio.
Product update details and pricing on the Model S and Model X feature in the Design Studio with improvements including new Dual and Tri Motor powertrain options with permanent magnet motors, new battery architecture with improved thermal performance, heat pump and the ability to perform consistent, back-to-back quarter mile runs.

Audio and media updates include premium 22-speaker audio with active noise cancelling, 17-inch centre display, 12.3-inch driver’s display, and eight-inch second row display, plus a gaming computer with 10 teraflops of processing power.
For comfort there are heated seats for every passenger, a heated steering and heated windshield, ventilated front seating and Tri-zone Airwave cabin conditioning.
Convenience features include second row stowable centre armrest with integrated storage and wireless charging, wireless and USB-C fast charging for every passenger, phone key, a stalkless steering column with yoke, along with door pockets and coat hooks.
Outside there are new wheels and tyres for improved performance, handling, efficiency and comfort; plus the Model S has a wider body and chassis for even better handling.
