Video: Four 3.5-tonne plug-in utes headline our Everything Electric Sydney walkthrough

Gavin Shoebridge walked every major stand at Everything Electric Sydney 2026, and the full video is now live on the EVs and Beyond YouTube channel.

Four plug-in utes were on the floor, and all four claim a 3,500kg braked tow rating: Chery’s diesel plug-in hybrid Stockman, the fully electric MG U9, BYD’s Shark 6 Performance and the GWM Cannon Hi4-T plug-in hybrid. The U9 arrives in New Zealand before the end of the year and the Stockman in the first quarter of 2027, while the Cannon Hi4-T is priced here from $58,990 against $76,990 for the Shark 6 Performance.

Beyond the utes, the walkthrough takes in the Polestar 5, Subaru’s Uncharted and Trailseeker, the Lepas L6 and L4, the Omoda 4 EV, the iCaur V25, the IM LS9, Cadillac’s Lyriq-V and Vistiq, the Genesis GV60 Magma, GAC’s Aion UT and S7, and Geely’s tri-motor Battleship 700.
