EVs at British Motor Show
The British Motor Show in Farnborough on August 19-22 has a hall dedicated to electric vehicles.
The Select Electric Motor Show is part of a revised format at a new site following a 13-year absence, the whole event reported to be one of the first few automotive shows now running after cancellation of the New York Auto Show.
Sponsored by Select Car Leasing which has recently launched its Select Electric brand offering business and personal EV leases, the electric section includes EV displays, a Retro Electric showcase of classics converted to electric, and offers experts to help answer questions.
EVs include the Hyundai Ioniq 5, the Mini Electric, Fiat 500 Electric, Tesla Model 3, VW ID.3, Kia e-Niro, and the Porsche Taycan Turbo S.
Other forms of e-mobility will also be displayed.
It’s particularly exciting to help develop public awareness of EVs, Select Car Leasing director Mark Tongue says.
EV test drives on a 2km test track are offered too.
More on the automotive future will feature at the shows’ IMI technology Theatre, the entire event hosted at the Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre.
