Hyundai confirms Ioniq 5 pricing – likely to get subsidy

Hyundai New Zealand has released pricing on its website for the highly anticipated Ioniq 5 – with the entry level model likely to sneak under the $80,000 limit for the new EV subsidies.

There are six models in the range, opening at $79,990 for the 58kWh $79,990 model and topping out at $112,990 for the 72.6kWh Limited AWD with Solar Roof.

While the $80,000 limit must include on road costs, Hyundai management have indicated to us that the vehicle price or on-road costs will likely be discounted at a dealer level to suit.

That will bring the list of models available from Hyundai under the subsidy to three – the original Ioniq, Kona EV and Ioniq 5.
