Solar charging maker for EV utes lists on Nasdaq
Canada-based Worksport, which makes solar charging systems for EV utes, portable green-energy storage systems and is working on green EV fast charging using hydrogen fuel cells, has listed on the US Nasdaq stock market (NASDAQ: WKSP).
“Nasdaq is home to many of the world’s leading technologies where cutting-edge research on sustainable energy is taking place,” Worksport chief executive Steven Rossi says.
“We are proud to have met the qualifications needed to trade on this prestigious exchange. We believe this step will raise our visibility with the investment community.”
Rossi says that at the conclusion of Worksport’s recent public offering it has a balance sheet with more than US$20 million in cash and cash equivalents, and no long-term debt.
“We have accomplished a great deal in the past year despite the pandemic, and we look forward to the additional opportunities afforded by our strengthened balance sheet and higher profile with the investor community.”
The company develops and makes modular tonneau covers and solar-powered systems for light-duty “trucks” and consumer-oriented adventures and purposes, where portable energy is a necessity.
Available soon to pre-order, the Worksport TerraVis tonneau cover system is designed for the job site contractor and off-road, light-duty trucker for work and play, to supply extra energy for those additional kilometres sustainably.
Expected to launch by 2021 year-end Worksport’s allied TerraVis COR mobile energy storage system (ESS) targets vacationers, second-home owners, and campers. Plans include grid micro-charging stations to provide convenience and efficiency in recharging smaller form-factor EVs.
Worksport says it will continue to update shareholders, supporters, and investors through its social media channels and website.
