Tesla’s delivery of 201,250 vehicles in the second quarter of 2021 is a record for the company which also produced 206,421 vehicles during the same period.

Most of the EVs produced were Model 3 and Model Y vehicles (204,081) with 2340 Model S and Model X also produced.

Deliveries of the China-made Model 3 have been ramping up in New Zealand and Australia.

Tesla did not break out how many Model S sedans were the high-end Plaid variant that just started reaching customers, The Verge reports.

The company held a recent delivery event for the redesigned Model S, featuring a new powertrain, more power, a new landscape touchscreen and steering wheel, and more range.

Tesla has been ramping up production capacity, including building new factories in Texas and Germany but, like the rest of the automotive industry, has faced global supply chain and logistics challenges.

“Our net income and cash flow results will be announced along with the rest of our financial performance when we announce Q2 earnings,” Tesla says.
