About 20,000 Porsche Taycans delivered

Porsche-Taycan-Turbo-S-Australia

All-electric Taycan deliveries of 20,015 last year helped Porsche achieve a strong global result.

The brand delivered 272,162 new vehicles worldwide in 2020, just 3% below a record 2019, in spite of the COVID-19 pandemic challenges.

“We were able to keep deliveries comparatively stable for the year as a whole,” Porsche AG sales and marketing executive board member Detlev von Platen says.

“Our fresh, attractive product range, the successful start of the Taycan as the first all-electric Porsche and the charisma of our brand – all this contributed to this positive result despite the difficult times.”

Taycan deliveries were impacted by a six-week stop to production just as the new model was ramping up and many markets were planning local launches.

Porsche says it is experiencing growth in Asia-Pacific and China especially and it is optimistic about further positive developments this year.
