E-bikes charge up Covi Supershow
Electric bikes from Australia such as the eTourer M-Series MX1 mid-drive electric mountain bike were shown for the first time in New Zealand at the Covi Motorhome Caravan and Outdoor Supershow at the Auckland Showgrounds in Greenlane on March 17-19.

A supplier for the RV Super Centre, Roy Lee, says the electric mountain bike which costs NZ$3999 has a 250W motor providing about 40km range.
The eTourer bikes also come in step-through, hybrid and other models.

Many other e-bike displays were at the show, including bike racks, e-bike lifts and other accessories allowing e-bikes to be easily carried by motorhomes.

The Covi Supershow also featured an LDV EV80 motorhome for sale at $74,990, and a Kea Evolve on an e-LDV chassis, while solar power items were in abundance.
Thousands of people visited the show, some looking to use caravans, motorhomes and US-style trailer homes like the Cottage by Forest River’s Cedar Creek as a form of housing, including several who wanted alternatives to their storm damaged homes and businesses.
